# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The energy lift comes from whole foods, not caffeine, so you feel sustained rather than wired
  • They take fifteen minutes to make but taste like something from a fancy wellness caf
  • You can keep all the ingredients in your pantry and whip them up whenever snack cravings strike
02 -
  • Fresh turmeric stains everything, including your hands. Consider wearing gloves or using a small piece of plastic wrap to hold the root while grating
  • The mixture will seem dry at first but keep processing it. The oils from the nuts and the moisture from dates will eventually bind everything together
  • These freeze beautifully for up to three months. Thaw them in the refrigerator overnight for a quick snack anytime
03 -
  • Buy dates in bulk from the refrigerated section of your grocery store. They are softer and fresher than shelf stable varieties
  • If your food processor is struggling, stop and scrape down the sides. The dates can gum up the blade and a little intervention helps everything blend evenly
