01 - 3 large lemons, juiced (about 3/4 cup juice)
→ Roots & Spices
02 - 2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
03 - 2-inch piece fresh turmeric, peeled and chopped (or 1 teaspoon ground turmeric)
→ Liquid
04 - 1 cup filtered water
→ Sweetener
05 - 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for taste)
→ Seasoning
06 - 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
# Directions:
01 - Place lemon juice, chopped ginger, chopped turmeric (or ground turmeric), water, black pepper, and sweetener (if using) in a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth, approximately 1-2 minutes.
02 - Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl. Press firmly with a spatula to extract maximum liquid, discarding the remaining pulp.
03 - Carefully pour the strained liquid into an ice cube tray, filling each compartment to just below the rim. Place in freezer for at least 2 hours or until completely solid.
04 - Remove 2 cubes per serving. Dissolve in a glass of warm water, blend into smoothies, or consume directly as a concentrated wellness shot. Store remaining cubes in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months.
