01 - 1 wheel (8 oz) Brie cheese
02 - 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

03 - 3 tablespoons fig jam
→ Pastry
04 - 1 sheet thawed puff pastry
→ Garnish (optional)
05 - 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts or pecans
06 - 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
07 - Crackers or sliced baguette, for serving
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Place the thawed puff pastry sheet onto the prepared baking sheet. Center the Brie wheel atop the pastry.
03 - Evenly spread fig jam over the top surface of the Brie.
04 - Sprinkle chopped nuts and fresh thyme leaves over the fig jam if using.
05 - Fold the puff pastry around the Brie, pleating as necessary to fully enclose. Pinch seams to seal securely.
06 - Brush the outside of the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish.
07 - Bake in preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown.
08 - Allow to rest 10 minutes before transferring to a serving platter. Serve warm with crackers or sliced baguette.
